This website is dedicated to the promotion of Dimboola & District activities, organisations and events.
Dimboola has a population of 1500 people and is situated in rural Victoria, Australia, halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide on the Western Highway and the national railway line. You can reach us from Melbourne and interstate by car, train or bus.
Nestled in a valley on the banks of the Wimmera River, Dimboola is the eastern gateway to the nearby Little Desert National Park and is central to Wyperfeld National Park in the north, Mt Arapiles rock-climbing in the south-west, and the Grampians National Park in the south-east. Closer to town we have the historic Ebenezer Mission Station with its Aboriginal associations, Pink Lake and Wail State Forrest, together with the Wimmera-Mallee Pioneer’s Museum and Lake Hindmarsh at Jeparit and the Wheatlands Agricultural Museum at Warracknabeal.
Dimboola has a lot to offer and welcomes visitors. Please take a look at our website to find out more. Last updated 20 July 2010 |
